ZNM tunes up

There's some selections from my latest microtonal album up at:

www.nonoctave.com/tunes/ZNM.html

Hope you like them. I think I posted the Expanse one before, but the Alligator piece should be new to everyone.

giving a listen now. the alligator piece is nice, esp. the production. i like the panning very much. the timbral modification is nice, too.

listening to the other piece. those bass frequencies really tickle the ears. i wish they wold stay, i can feel them triggering some pretty cool binaural stuff. from the three things i've heard from you so far, this is my favorite, because it steers away from being a microtonal version of tonal info. nice!

      The Expanse Beneath

Thanks for the kind words. The Expanse Beneath is in a nonoctave tuning called Celestial Interference with a repeat ratio of 12:7, the Supermajor Sixth. That tuning really does bring out some interesting movements of energy and works well with the contemplative pieces. I think this piece well illustrates some of the powerful resources available by working with nonoctave tunings.
